Before you use any of these products make sure you do not have allergic reactions to any of these ingredients.

For those who may not be familiar with it, hair oiling is an age-old Ayurvedic tradition involving the application of oil to the hair and scalp, followed by gentle massaging, and allowing the oil to be absorbed for a few hours or overnight before washing it out.
Although hair oiling has a long-standing tradition, it continues to capture the interest of many today. The influence of social media and popular portrayals in the media has sparked a renewed fascination with this practice. Notably, products like Gisou hair oils have gained considerable popularity on social platforms. However, I firmly believe that rather than purchasing a small bottle for $30 to $50, you can achieve more effective results with ingredients that you likely already have at home.
The oils utilized in this practice, which I will introduce to you in a moment, are abundant in fatty acids. These acids play a crucial role in hydrating and nourishing dry and damaged hair, resulting in a more lustrous appearance. Achieving healthy hair relies on finding the right balance between moisture and strength. This balance is what sustains the look we desire. Without protein, moisture easily escapes from the hair, and without sufficient moisture, even the strongest hair will appear dry and lifeless. Today, we will focus on the importance of adding moisture.

Let’s talk oil. The options are endless, and the more you explore and understand what works best for your hair, the sooner you’ll attain the well-being of your hair.
For starting I recommend coconut oil. Sometimes, simple is best, and that’s definitely the case with coconut oil. I recommend using coconut oil because you will likely see results after just one wash. This oil is also great for blending with other ingredients to customize it for your hair.
- Neem leaves: These have antibacterial and antifungal properties, making them perfect for addressing scalp issues.
- Hibiscus flowers or leaves: These are known for promoting hair growth, preventing dandruff, and adding shine to the hair.
- Curry leaves: These are believed to help prevent premature graying and nourish the hair.
- Rosemary: Is known for its potential benefits for hair and scalp health, including stimulating hair growth and preventing dandruff.

As for my second favorite hair oil, I’m absolutely obsessed with the scent of roses, as I’ve mentioned in my previous post. This leads us to another amazing hair oil. Rosewood oil. Rosewood oil is truly a wonderful option for hydrating and repairing damaged hair. It can work wonders on those pesky split ends that cause concern, providing healing and nourishment to restore your hair’s health.

For my final choice today, I want to talk about cedar oil. It has been used for thousands of years by ancient civilizations like the Egyptians and Sumerians. Cedar oil is known to help prevent hair thinning and balding, as well as stimulate new hair growth. Hair loss can be caused by various factors, such as damaged hair follicles and shafts. Cedar oil is a great natural remedy for these issues.
The best way to use cedar oil is to mix them with other oils. My preferred recipe i use when using this oil is;
Cedar oil + Rosewood oil + Jojoba oil (Jojoba oil has great antibacterial benefits)
