These natural skincare products will make you glow from the inside out

Before you use any of these products on your face, you should test it on a small area of skin (on the neck or behind the ear) to rule out allergic reactions.

Rose Water:
In just one week, my skin went from dull to radiant thanks to the wonderful effects of rose water. You can find rosewater in that local Indian store you have near you or you may order it. If you plan on ordering it i recommend it from the brand Kama Ayurveda.

If you buy it from your local Indian store simply pour it into a spray bottle and give your face a refreshing spritz after washing – perfect for those tiring mornings or hot summer days. Rose water has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in compounds such as phenols and flavonoids. If your skin is sensitive or prone to redness, this natural remedy is the best solution. In addition, the moisturizing boost is ideal for dry skin, but for optimal results you should use an additional moisturizer.

For those who struggle with hyperpigmentation, this is a treat. Rose water is enriched with antioxidants, including vitamin C, an excellent ingredient for treating uneven skin tone. Even if your skin is flawless, the cozy scent of rose water offers a daily dose of calm and relaxation. I am no big fan of heavy scents and therefore i love the smell of rosewater, very light and mild.

It has become my apart of my morning and evening ritual and I am truly obsessed with this ingredient.

Saffron Oil:

Saffron oil is my secret weapon for a glowing complexion, especially for people with tanned skin. This powerful ingredient is a real game changer and I can’t recommend it enough, whether you’re struggling with dryness during the colder months or just want to boost your skin’s natural radiance. I swear by the brand “Nagarjuna Kumkumadi Thailam” for its effectiveness. A few drops of saffron oil before bed or in cool weather before applying moisturizer to the skin works wonders. Here is a simple method of making saffron oil that is just as easy as buying it from the shop:

1) Start by taking a pinch of saffron threads (about 10-15 threads) and place them in a clean, dry bowl.

2) Choose a carrier oil suited to your skin type – jojoba for most skin types, sweet almond for dry skin or coconut for its antibacterial properties.

3) Gently heat the chosen carrier oil in a small saucepan or bain-marie, making sure it heats up without boiling.

4) Allow the saffron to infuse in the warm oil. For best results, leave the oil to infuse overnight before straining to remove the saffron particles.

5) Strain the infused oil and transfer to a dark glass bottle or container. The dark glass protects the oil from light and preserves its effectiveness.

Trust me, your skin will thank you. Especially on darker skin types, your skin will look like pure gold.

Aloe Vera Gel:

Allow me to introduce you to the latest jewel in my routine – aloe vera gel. This soothing elixir has become an essential part of my routine, and for good reasons. Whether your skin is craving a moisture boost or a gentle healing, aloe vera gel is the answer. I especially love the natural simplicity of aloe vera, and here’s why. If your skin is irritated, for example from a sunburn, apply the aloe vera gel generously to the affected area or all over your face. Notice how the gel gently soothes the irritated feeling and calms the skin. I particularly appreciate this product after applying make-up, as it gently purifies the face in a pleasantly cooling way.

1) Choose a ripe and healthy aloe vera leaf. Make sure it has no discoloration or stains.

2) Cut the aloe vera leaf close to the base with a sharp knife. Be careful as the edges of the leaf can be sharp. Place the cut leaf upright in a bowl or container to allow the yellow sap, known as aloin, to drain. Aloin can cause irritation, so it is important to drain it.

3) Once the aloin has drained (usually after about 30 minutes), lay the leaf flat on a chopping board. Cut off the spiky edges of the leaf. Cut off the flat sides of the leaf to expose the clear aloe vera gel.

4) Carefully scrape the gel off the leaf with a spoon or knife. Collect the gel in a clean bowl or container.

5) For a smoother consistency, you can puree the extracted gel with a blender or food processor.

6) Pour the gel into a clean and airtight container. Store the container in the refrigerator. Freshly extracted aloe vera gel can spoil quickly, so it is important to store it in a cool place and use it within a week or two. If you want to make a larger quantity, you can add a natural preservative such as vitamin E oil or a few drops of grapefruit seed extract to extend the shelf life.

Those were my top three natural skincare products I really wanted to introduce you too today. Thank you for reading and until next time!
